Hi, I am Sati Brar.
I am the Admin and Rostering Officer at CaptainK Supports and Cares. With 10 years of
experience as a qualified educator, I help students develop into responsible and empathetic individuals.

My personal philosophy of teaching and learning is based on the Early Years Learning
Framework. By working with children, I have come to know of their unique needs and how they change according to circumstances. In my journey as an educator, I have learnt that children are capable and curious. They are keen on exploring the world around them and gathering knowledge from what they experience. So, as an educator, I assisted students in this natural endeavour.

Throughout my career, I have also developed strong administration, team coordination and staff scheduling skills. Besides, my career has helped me build excellent communication and organisational skills. By applying these, I help the organisation deliver better support and achieve growth.

As an educator, I assist children with their development and help them overcome their
challenges. I support them with play-based activities that involve interacting with others and developing relationships with their peers. I interact with them gently and create a caring and positive atmosphere, so they feel secure and supported.

Apart from focusing on my role as an Admin and Rostering officer, I still work with students in their early stages. I use positive reinforcement and low-key responses to guide children’s behaviour. I motivate them to try out new and fun-filled tasks designed to enhance overall development. I also identify behavioural issues in children and their triggers. By developing and implementing the necessary strategies, I help manage behaviour effectively.
